Letter to Danville Blast Parents, Now that your child has chosen
a more competitive environment, I think the roller coaster has greater highs and
lower lows. Please try to keep yourself and your player as balanced as possible
so the emotions that are sometimes involved with playing higher level matches
do not ruin the sense of fun that comes with playing soccer. It is one of
our Club's objectives to provide a challenging environment for those players who
are ready for it. Hopefully we can keep all of our Blast players involved, and
if they want to go to the next level of college or Olympic Development play, they
will be well-trained. I am probably crazy, but I want everyone to be satisfied
with every aspect of our soccer program. If you ever are unsatisfied with the
smallest aspect of the program, please contact the correct person. I would
recommend discussing the problem first with your team coach. Each year at our
board meeting, coaches have the power to vote on Club issues and officers. If
you still need help, contact Dugan Maddux, the travel director, who also sits
on the board for the Club. There should be plenty of information for you
and your player at this web site. If you would like to see something else, please
let me know by filling out the online survey. I look forward to meeting
you on the field, and I hope that you and your player will be with our program
for years to come. Cary
